Safety Training
BC Coastal Navigation and Tidal Planning course is designed to equip paddlers with the tools to be able to plan and navigate effectively on coastal journeys in Moderate sea conditions, up to 2 nautical miles offshore in areas of tidal movement up to 2 knots.

This course is often included as part of our BC Sea Kayak Leader training course.

BC Open Water Navigation and Tidal Planning course is designed to equip paddlers with the tools to be able to carry out open water journeys including islands over 2 nautical miles offshore in areas of strong tidal movement of 3+ knots and/or including winds of up to force 5.

This course is often included as part of our BC Advanced Sea Kayak Leader Training course.
